Overview

ASU's Educational Outreach and Student Services (EOSS) is committed to responding to all eligible student requests for reasonable accommodations that can be provided without undue hardship to the college.

If a student makes a disability known to the college, requests accommodations, and provides official documentation to support the need for accommodations, the Student Accessibility and Inclusive Learning Office (SAILS) team will determine reasonable modifications or accommodations.

If I have a disability and need additional support, where can I go for accommodations?

Students that would like to request disability services or accommodations should contact the SAILS team for the courses in which they're enrolled. Register by visiting this accessibility website and following these instructions:

  1. Click the yellow "Student Login" button
  2. Enter your ASU credentials
  3. Click on "New Student Application"
  4. Complete and submit the form

You can also call the SAILS team directly with any questions at (480) 965 - 1234, or email them at student.accessibility@asu.edu.

I had accommodations at my previous school. Can I give those to my instructor?

Official accommodations must go through the SAILS team. Instructors are under no obligation to adhere to any official student accommodations without notification from the appropriate SAILS team representative.

I need to change my classes due to my mental health. Can I make this request during the registration process through my Academic Advisor?

Accommodations requests can be submitted at any time for review and approval/denial. All accommodations requests must be submitted through the appropriate  SAILS team representative.

I need accommodations for my test tomorrow. Who should I speak to?

Please follow up with the SAILS team.

I recently found out that I have a disability and now have accommodations for all of my classes. I would like to retake all my tests and resubmit all my assignments using my accommodations.

Accommodations are not retroactive, but they can be used, as applicable, for future coursework and tests.

Please provide me with a list of accommodations offered at the College.

Accommodations are highly individualized and can change from student to student. Please follow up with the SAILS team for more information.

My instructor has not provided my accommodations. What should I do?

Please follow up with the SAILS team for more information.
